Covid-19 spike: JK Govt to conduct house to house survey across Jammu div

Jammu: In view of the recent surge in number of COVID-19 cases and their increased severity, the UT government on Sunday ordered a “complete house to house verification of health status of symptomatic COVID-19 positive/suspect cases’’ in Jammu division.

The mopping up exercise shall be under taken by the concerned district magistrates/chairman of the DDMA’s with effect from May 11 to May 13, said an order issued by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer.

The joint teams of concerned line departments shall be constituted by the District Magistrates, preferably using areas/households of responsibility of booth level officers as the verification entity, it said. The database of households already generated on Swasthyanidhi App or any other survey may be additionally used, apart from the electoral list available with the BLO concerned for household identification, it added.
