KU to hold all the remaining PG, UG exams online

Srinagar: Amid surge in Covid cases and higher casualties due to Covid, the authorities in University of Kashmir has decided to conduct all of its remaining PG and UG examinations through the online mode 

KU officials said that in view of the ongoing pandemic situation and ensure that there is no loss of students’ academic time, online mode was given preference.

According to a local news agency, the decision was taken after detailed deliberations held during a high-level meeting of the advisory committee, headed by Prof Neelofar Khan, as well as a meeting of the varsity’s deans’ committee chaired by Dean of Academic Affairs Prof Shabir A Bhat.

The KU authorities in a statement added that the recommendations of the committee were approved by Vice-Chancellor Prof Talat Ahmad following which the Registrar Dr Nisar Ahmad Mir ordered that the examination of the remaining papers of 4th semester & other end-semester examinations shall be conducted in online mode after 15th May 2021.

It is pertinent to mention that the crisis due to the Covid pandemic, educational institutions  has shifted most of the class oriented work to online mode as rush of people has led to the explosion in Covid cases.
