BSF Organise Fit India Freedom Run in Poonch

Jammu: Border Security For e on Friday organised a 10 Km Walkathon under “Fit India Freedom Run Programme” from Village Achaad to Village Mankote in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Organised under the aegis of Ministry of Sports, around 200 Officers, Subordinate Officers and Jawans participated in the event.

Prempal Singh, Second in Command,   flagged off the run during a formal ceremony with adherence of COVID- 19 protocols and social distancing. 

This campaign was aimed at generating awareness among the troops, families and border population for keeping everyone physically fit specially during this difficult time of pandemic. 

On this occasion, Prempal Singh stated that health is our real wealth and to remain fit should be our own responsibility and endeavor. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the participants regarding the event in this remote locality. 

It is BSF endeavor to raise the awareness about health and fitness among border population by organizing these types of events regularly, which generates sportsman sprit and bonhomie among border population.
