Jammu: Joint General Secretary of RSS, Dattatreya Hosabole, on Wednesday asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to initiate steps for creating an environment for the return of migrant Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley.
“Our Hindu brothers and sisters, who have lived in Kashmir for many years, have overcome many crisis and have progressed towards development,” he said in reference to Pandits who continued living in Kashmir despite militant violence.
Pointing g out that the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A has once again established that Jammu & Kashmir is an integral part of India, RSS leader said, adding that Hindus in J&K have now occupied important places despite the fact they faced difficult times in the past many years.
The purpose of organizing this function here was special as this year, J&K and Ladakh have attained an important place in the history, the senior RSS functionary said.
During this 3-day program on Navreh, a ‘sankalp’ was also taken that in the coming days, families (Hindu) will be resettled in Kashmir again and Navreh will be celebrated with fan fare at a massive scale next year, he added.
He further lauded the security forces for their supreme sacrifices, adding “we should salute them for their valour in fighting terror and maintaining security and integrity of the nation,
Dattatreya’s remarks assumes significance as these indicate that after the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation g earstwhile state into two UTs of J&K and Ladakh, the next on agenda of government is to ensure return to Pandit’s in the Valley.
