Jammu: An over 9,000 people have been fined by the UT Police for not wearing masks across Jammu district during 2020-21.

Pointing out that nearly Rs 45 lakh was realized from the violators, an official statement here said the imposition of fine was part of the continued drive against violators of COVID-19 guidelines under orders of Jammu SSP Shridhar Patil.
Jammu Police appealed all citizens to follow proper guidelines, maintain social distancing, wear masks and all other precautions . It is also warned that those found violating the COVID- 19 guidelines in the district will be strictly dealt under law.
