A soldier was killed and two others injured during a practice firing session on Tuesday in Akhnoor Sector of Jammu division.

“Gunner Sayan Ghosh of Artillery Regiment suffered fatal injury due to a firing accident while carrying out live firing training at Field Firing Ranges in Akhnoor Sector at around 10.30 am,’’ said an Army PRO Lt Colonel Devender Anand. The deceased hailed from Nagadha village in West Bengal’s 24 Pargana district.
Manwhile, police sources said that two other soldiers were injured and they have been admitted in hospital.
